Vibration is a type of motion.

Sound is produced by vibrating objects.

The pitch of the sound can be varied by changing the rate of vibration.

   Definitions     

amplitude:  the amount of energy in a sound wave
frequency:  the number of times a sound source vibrates in one second.
pitch:  the highness or lowness of a sound.
sound wave:  an area of crowded particles followed by widely spaced particles.
vibration:  back and forth motion
