Sarah Hodges, Principal
Hello, I am so excited to be your Principal! I graduated from Owen County High School in 2003. After high school I attended Kentucky State University. While at Kentucky State University, I received my BA in Elementary Education in 2007, as well as my Master’s degree in Special Education with a certification in Learning and Behavior Disorders K-12 in 2012. After teaching several years with Jefferson County Public Schools I went on to attend The University of Louisville where I graduated in 2016 with my Education Specialist degree with Principal and Leadership Certification. In 2020, I went back to The University of Louisville and received my Director of Special Education Certification. In my free time I love to craft and spend time with my family and friends. I earned my education and leadership degrees from Morehead State University and the University of the Cumberlands. I am eager to work with the students and their families, as well as the staff at MBMS to create an environment where education and opportunities can thrive.
Sierra Miller, School Counselor
Hello Everyone! I am Mrs. Miller and I am so excited to be your school counselor! This is my first full year as a school counselor. I am thrilled to be a part of the MBMS Family! I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Master of Arts in School Counseling from Northern Kentucky University. I have been married to my husband, Alex for 3 years. We have a sweet old year-old named Charlotte and 2 dogs, Marlin and Tyson. When I have free time, I love to spend time going on adventures with my family or making things with my Cricut. My name is Lindsay Smith and I am currently stationed in Maurice Bowling Middle School as the school nurse. This is my first-year full time as the school nurse, and I am loving it! I graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing in 2005. I am married to my husband Josh, and we have three boys.

My name is Michelle Cobb, and I am excited to be working as a district wide counselor in Owen County Schools. My educational career has included teaching middle school math in Kenton County, working as a school counselor at the elementary, middle and high school levels in both Kenton County and Owen County, and serving as an assistant principal and principal in the Kenton County School District. As a mother of three amazing sons who have attended Owen County Schools, I am excited to once again be a part of the Owen County School District. I look forward to supporting students of all ages as we equip them with the skills and resources needed to learn and grow.
Stacey Perkins, Gift and Talented
Hello! My name is Stacey Perkins and I am the Gifted and Talented and Advanced Placement Coordinator for the Owen County School district. This is my 22nd year in education. My first 16 years were spent in a 4th grade classroom, and then I taught 3rd grade for a 1 1/2 before becoming the GT Coordinator. My family and I live on a farm here in Owen County. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors.
Cindy Johnson, ELL
My name is Cindy Johnson. I teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to English Learners (EL) for the district as well as being the EL Program Coordinator. I received my bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University along with my first through eighth grade teaching certification. I have a master's degree from the University of Louisville with an endorsement to teach English as Second Language, kindergarten through twelfth grade. I also have a rank one through Kentucky's Continuing Education Option. I have held various positions in my twenty-eight years of teaching. I love to read and travel, my favorite place to visit is the ocean.
Heather Shelton, School Pyschologist
I have been the district School Psychologist since 2002. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the University of Kentucky and my Ph.D. in Education from The University of Tennessee. I live in Georgetown with my husband and three children. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
