Hello, I am so excited to be your Principal! This is my 18th year in education. I graduated from Owen County High School in 2003. After high school, I attended Kentucky State University. While at Kentucky State University, I received my BA in Elementary Education in 2007, as well as my Master’s degree in Special Education with a certification in Learning and Behavior Disorders K-12 in 2012. After teaching several years with Jefferson County Public Schools I went on to attend The University of Louisville where I graduated in 2016 with my Education Specialist degree with Principal and Leadership Certification. In 2020, I went back to The University of Louisville and received my Director of Special Education Certification. In my free time I love to craft and spend time with my family and friends. I live in Owen County with my husband Marvin, and our children Weston and Jazmyne.
“A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. They do not set out to be a leader, but they become one by the equality of their actions and the integrity of their intent.” -Douglas McArthur
